The Oak Tree Inn wins SLTN 2012 Pub/Bar of the Year 2012!!
We are delighted to announce that we have recently won the SLTN award for Pub/Bar of the Year 2012 sponsored by Kopparberg. We were up against some stiff competition but the award-winning Oak Tree triumphs again!
Take a detour from the well trodden tourist route and discover a real Scottish welcome at the Oak Tree Inn in the picturesque village of Balmaha, Loch Lomond. Situated on the quieter eastern shore of the Loch, this family owned inn gives you the perfect base from which to explore the stunning surrounding countryside, or take a cruise on the Loch.
Standing in the shade of a magnificent 500 year old oak tree, this unique country Inn which is constructed from locally quarried slate, offers a perfect tranquil location for those wishing to escape from the rush of modern day life.
Our Bed & Breakfast accommodation consists of deluxe, standard, single and bunk rooms and some of these are located in traditional cottages nearby. The West Highland Way is a short distance from the inn and we are ideally situated for the first night’s stop on the walk.
Lomond Grass is our new business which was set up when we had problems with the outside area of the Oak Tree Inn as real grass gets worn and muddy in this climate. We found that artificial grass was the answer – it looks great all year round! We can supply the smallest garden to large play areas and business premises. For details click here
We have frequent Special Offers and would be only too pleased to help you with any enquiry you may have.
We are working with lovelochlomond.com to promote the Loch Lomond area and improve the customers’ experience.
We are happy to be members of the OUR Park scheme which gives visitors to the area an opportunity to make voluntary donations when making an accommodation booking with us which are directed into vital wildlife, conservation and access projects in the National Park area.
